HMI/SCADA

HMI is a Graphic User Interface based controller operating panel. It represents the interface between operator and a process. HMI systems can be installed in plants for alarms, reliable messaging, overall management, accurate testing, etc. The purpose of HMI is to make the function or purpose of an automation tasks self-evident and easy to understand so that even an operator who doesn’t have knowledge of controllers can operate as well as monitor the entire automation tasks.

A Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system or SCADA system incorporates all the capabilities of the graphical Operator Interfaces described previously and adds the capability of logging data over time. This course will give you experience in designing SCADA systems professionally using best-practice techniques and standards.
